TeleSphere Software and Kansys have partnered to offer TAXI-CAB, a CABS billing and Revenue Assurance package that addresses the most critical area of your business: network usage.

An understanding of all network events allows a carrier to analyze the cost versus revenue received for products, services and customers. The challenge is that today’s usage solutions are fragmented models that fail to account for all of the complexities and interdependencies necessary to understand usage and carrier access. The companies say the TAXI-CAB solution addresses three areas of network management: Usage Mediation and Validation, Intercarrier Access Billing, and Revenue Assurance Data Warehousing and Reporting. Instead of three isolated sets of functionality and responsibility, TAXI-CAB merges these three into one interconnected process that is able to process, track and report information about your network end to end.

Usage mediation usually takes place in a vacuum without extensive knowledge of what other processes use utilize the output, this often causes revenue leakage from the point where data enters your billing stream. Intercarrier access billing (including wireless agreements and recip comp) takes data from mediation and other sources and “bills what it gets.” It is usually only problems have negatively affected this valuable revenue stream that issues with mediation are discovered. Data warehousing and reporting (when coupled with a view into the other processes) allow your company to have access to complete, enriched network information that not only tells you what data did get processed and billed, but what didn’t and why.
